J127 Orphan Care Ministry

"Pure and faultless religion is to care for the orphans and widows in their

distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world."

James 1:27

Our desire is to implement and maintain a plan to recruit, educate, and guide those desiring to foster, adopt, and/or support displaced children in Harrison County. As Christ followers, we are called to care for displaced children. However, in past decades most Christians have allowed this responsibility to be passed to their state and local governments. The government agencies assigned to do this job are overburdened and under-funded. We would like to help!

J127's Vision

We are dedicated to Christ's vision and taking a greater role in caring for orphans and foster children. We envision a community where Christ followers from many churches recognize the responsibility we all have to care for displaced children, and set about with faith and persistence to make secure, loving homes a reality for all children in need.

J127's Mission

Our mission is to live out the Gospel by addressing the growing need for families who can provide loving, Christ-centered homes for the abused and neglected children in our local foster care system. We are committed to creating a support system to provide for the many needs a resource family can incur and provide an opportunity for those wanting to help J127 fulfill this mission.
