Starting Point Class

For most people, finding a church can be overwhelming and somewhat confusing in knowing how to get involved. We have developed a class called Starting Point so we can help sort through these things together. This class addresses two big ideas broken down over six weeks–We address some of the most common obstacles of the Christian life and how to overcome them, along with, helping you gain a better understanding of who we are as a church and how we can flourish together as a family.

If you are new to Michael Memorial, have questions about Christianity or simply need a refresher course, this is the class for you.

The class meets twice a year on Sunday mornings for 6 weeks during Community Group time in the Loft (upstairs directly behind the Sanctuary). We also meet once a year on Wednesday nights during service in the Loft. We will have fresh coffee and a snack ready for you.

Everyone is welcome to join us!

  • ABOUT US: Who we are and God’s vision for this faith family
  • SECURE IN GOD: How to have assurance of salvation
  • GROWING IN GOD: Opportunities for you to grow in your faith at MMBC
  • TOGETHER WITH GOD: Finding your place of belonging through community at MMBC
  • PARTICIPATING WITH GOD: How God has uniquely gifted you to serve in our faith family
  • FLOURISHING IN GOD: How we can flourish together as a family

What should I expect?

We have Worship Services at 8:15am and 10:45am with a blend of contemporary praise music and traditional hymns.

What should I wear?

At MMBC, we encourage you to come just as you are. Most people attend services in business-casual clothing. But you will also see some suits and ties as well as blue jeans. The most important thing to remember is that God sees our heart and God cares about our heart more than He cares about our style of clothing.

What about my kids?

No matter what age your children might be, we have a special spot for them. Our Preschool is available for the tiniest baby to Kindergarten age. You may utilize this service during any Worship Service and during Community Groups

Our 1st through 6th graders meet in the KidZone on Sunday mornings. They have an interactive worship experience during Worship Service times designed just for kids. At 9:45am the children move into Community Groups which also meets in the KidZone.

What about my teenager?

NoPosers Student Ministries consists of 7th to 12th grade students. All of our student activities take place in the youth building and are directed by our Youth Pastor, Bryan Yates.

Our students meet together every Sunday morning with their grade level for Community Groups at 9:45am. We study topics relevant to students, and we use a one of a kind system that rotates each grade through a different topic every 10 weeks.

Out students gather together every Wednesday at 6:30pm for worship with a praise band and time spent in God's Word. They love coming early to hang out at the café before service!
